A charming Self Catering Cottage located in a historic and beautiful seaside village

1 double bedroom and bed settee in living room (can sleep 4 people + cot* )

Built in the 1700s as a slate quarriers cottage, Insh Cottage has been tastefully modernised to provide very comfortable accommodation. Located in the heart of Ellenabeich an attractive conservation village, the property is an ideal retreat for romantic couples wishing to cuddle up in front of the cosy stove and those wishing to explore the surrounding land and sea-scapes. For the more energetic the area boasts stunning coastal walks with views of the Inner Hebrides and Northern Ireland. Activities such as fishing and cycle hirer are available locally. Ferries and boat trips can be taken to local isles and being only 30 minutes drive from Oban there is a full range of visitor facilities. The beauty of the village has been recognised by several film crews as the village is special Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter.

Access to the lovely island of Easdale is achieved by sounding the claxon at the jetty for the short passenger ferry.

The area has a micro-climate of its own supporting a wide variety of flora and wildlife, including   dolphins, seals, otters, feral goats, badgers, buzzards, osprey and even a golden eagle has been seen occasionally.

The accomodation , which is all on the ground floor, comprises:

The living room area  with TV , video, Hi-Fi, multi fuel stove and bed settee.

 The main room is entered from  a small hall with stable door and is furnished with stereo cd/radio/cassette/Colour TV - Sky free to air/video/DVD/multi fuel stove/double bed settee/coffee table/ folding table and easy chairs.

Fully fitted kitchen, with gas cooker, dish-washer, fridge/freezer, microwave , kettle, coffee maker, water immersion heater and  stable door.                       

Large double bedroom with ample hanging and storage, with space for cot* or folding single bed.

Bathroom with electric shower above bath.

The utility room also has an auto washing machine, iron, safety grill for stove and cleaning equipment. A pet bed is available upon request.

Heating: Gas central heating throughout. Gas included in rental May to September, otherwise £15pw. Electricity charged by meter reading. Starter fuel supplied for stove, further fuel available locally. 
Linen: Duvets, duvet covers, bedlinen, towels and teatowels included.

PETS WELCOME at no extra charge (although no pets on the bedding or furniture please)

NO SMOKING IN THE COTTAGE (smokers may smoke outside or utilise the stable doors to the rear or front of the cottage)
